N.V. Intermed Caribe started its activities in July 1999 under the name N.V. Intermed in Paramaribo – Suriname as a supplier of medical products, especially medical consumables. The company’s founding was an initiative of Drs. James Rasam, who noticed that hospitals and other healthcare facilities were increasingly confronted with the continuous shortage of medical consumables. In order to respond to the ever-growing needs of the world, the company then changed its name to N.. Intermed Caribe with the purpose of expanding the business throughout the Caribbean.

Today, N.V. Intermed Caribe is a medium-sized company offering a complete range of medical consumables, devices and services. We supply products for daily use in laboratories, hospitals, healthcare facilities and other service providers such as hotels and offices, clinics and companies.
